I just spent a fabulous half-hour looking at the blog posts my colleagues have made. Wow, you guys! You're amazing! I wasn't sure what to write about in this blog, but then I looked up and saw the rubber ducks on top of the bookshelf. As some of my colleagues at Central know, I've been collecting these for a few years. Actually, they sort of collected themselves! I told a friend that I liked them, so she gave me one. Then another friend did the same, and before long I ended up with dozens of ducks of all descriptions! I have pirate ducks, devil ducks, plush ducks and miniature ducks. I have ducks that sing and dance, ducks that light up when you put them in water, a duck squirt-gun and duck-scissors that quack when you cut things.
In this blog I'll tell you about a few of the ducks that have joined my collection over the years. I like their bright colours and simple shapes, but mostly I like them because they remind me of the friends and colleagues who gave them to me--always with a smile.
(P.S. The duck-picture above is in the public domain. I found it in the Wikimedia Commons. Isn't it great?)
Your blog made me smile, Jo, just as your ducks always do. Looking forward to hearing the stories behind some of your favourites.
